The programmable Control Module T.VIS® V-1 (Tuchenhagen Valve Information System) is used for the pneumatic and/or electrical connection of VESTA valves (stroke < 10 mm), the programmable Control Module T.VIS® V-20 for the electrical connection of VESTA valves (stroke max. 30 mm)

The Control Module T.VIS® V-1 is available

• as electrical position indicator without solenoid valve and
• as control head with solenoid valve.

The Control Module T.VIS® V-20 is an electrical position indicator without solenoid valve.

The Control Module T.VIS® V-1 and T.VIS® V-20 consist of a base element and a cap.

The base element incorporates an integrated path measurement and the cap the necessary control electronics.

When the control module T.VIS® V-1 is used as a control head, a solenoid valve is integrated in the special base and the air connections are accessible from the outside of the base. An external hose connection is provided for supplying the process valve with control air.

Concerning the position indicator, the pneumatic valve actuation is assumed by a solenoid valve provided by the customer, e.g. solenoid valve terminal.

For pneumatic valve actuation of T.VIS® V-20 , the actuator must be connected to a solenoid valve (solenoid valve cluster) provided by the customer.

The function of the control module T.VIS® V-1 and T.VIS® V-20 is based on a microprocessor integrated in the cap, containing the software for operation, visualization as well as intelligent valve position detection, controlling and evaluation. A potentiometer or a position sensor installed in the positioner ascertains the valve stroke and transmits the data to the microprocessor.

After programming, the position indicator indicates by colored LEDs under its illuminated cap the status of the local process valve visible from afar.

The feedback of the positions OPEN / CLOSED as well as error messages are made available depending on the communication type the user selected as a 24 V DC switching output or per AS interface data bit or DeviceNet data bit.

During programming, the process valve is moved into the position OPEN / CLOSED by activating an external solenoid valve in order to define the actuated positions of the valve.

In case of the control head T.VIS V-1 signalling takes place in the same way as described for the position indicator, however, the solenoid valve integrated in the base element is activated depending on the control signals. These control signals are emitted automatically during programming of the actuated positions using the microprocessor or in the operating mode via the PLC of the user. In the manual mode, the solenoid valve may be activated via keys which make the process valve move into the position OPEN or CLOSED.

The automatic programming of the actuated positions can in both versions be activated either by using the keys in the cap or by an external control signal (programming input).

The keys in the cap serve in addition for customer specific parameter setting of the control module.
