The Albin Pump ALHP inline pulsation damper reduces vibration and fluid hammer in your pipelines, thereby increasing hose life. The pulsation is created by the working principle of the peristaltic pump. The rubber hose in the pulsation damper adjusts its volume to compensate for the pulsation and provide a smooth flow to the outlet line. This is done by means of a thick-walled, reinforced rubber hose mounted in a cylindrical carbon steel pressure vessel. The most critical component of a peristaltic pump is the hose. Masterflex pump hoses are developed and adapted for use in peristaltic pumps and to meet the highest possible requirements. They are manufactured with high precision to achieve minimal tolerances, which in turn allows for high accuracy and repeatability in pumping and dosing.
We have a wide range of hoses in different materials and sizes for all types of media, meeting a variety of requirements and standards, such as USP, VI and FDA. All hoses are tested and inspected at the factory after manufacture.

Different sizes of hose and the possibility to vary the speed allow us to optimize the flow.
Chemical compatibility
The wide range of hoses is designed to fit all types of media. If the tubing is not fully compatible with the media, performance and accuracy will be compromised. Please use the fluid guide on the Masterflex website.
Life of the hose
Desired hose life varies with the application and is affected by many different factors, such as back pressure, vacuum on the suction side, speed, temperature of the media viscosity and presence of particles. Even before the hose breaks, the performance and accuracy of pumping is degraded, and it is important to be careful in identifying the operating conditions and requirements of the pump.
