APX™ Rupture Disc
The Continental Disc APX™ rupture disc is a semicircular scored reverse acting rupture disc that is ideal for liquid or gas/vapor applications. In terms of performance, precision, and durability, the APX rupture disc outperforms the competition. One of several benefits of the APX is the flexibility to tailor it to the demands of the customer, particularly regarding flexibility in holder materials of construction.
Designed for use in toxic and corrosive environments, the APX rupture disc combines Continental Disc's rupture disc performance with materials that stand up to the most challenging process media. The APX continues the legacy of the flagship HPX® product with low Kr factors, high cycling, and quality certifications that you've come to expect from Continental Disc Corporation.
Optimum material thickness and manufacturing tooling design provide not only the full opening and accurate burst rating you expect, but also longer service life at higher operating-to-burst pressure ratios demanded by today's process industries.

HPX-PT Pre-Torqued Holder
Get consistently accurate rupture disc installation with the HPX-PT pre-torqued holder. Prior to installation, you'll install and fit the disc in your workshop. Then all you need to do is complete the assembly between the flanges in the process system relief stream. The HPX-PT pre-torqued holder incorporates high-strength steel socket-head cap screws for accurate loading and sealing of the rupture disc. -
HPX-CTG™ Rupture Disc
The Continental Disc HPX-CTG™ cartridge rupture disc addresses the need to minimize potential leak paths in chemical applications. The welded rupture disc cartridge assembly, built with HPX® technology, seamlessly integrates between traditional flange connections. By eliminating the need for a separate holder, the welded design significantly reduces the risk of leaks compared to conventional rupture disc systems. As a seal-welded version of our HPX rupture disc, the HPX-CTG ensures a leak-tight assembly, making it ideal for applications involving toxic or hazardous media or where emissions regulations are a concern. With the proven durability of the HPX rupture disc - type tested to five million cycles - the HPX-CTG enhances safety and reliability while minimizing emissions risks in critical applications. The single-piece HPX-CTG assembly simplifies installation and minimizes the risk of damaging the rupture disc during installation and handling. Its fully welded design eliminates torque sensitivity, alleviating concerns about inconsistent torque application and the higher torque required for certain gaskets, ensuring a more reliable and flexible installation.
