Gear pumpsED series - Magnetic drive gear pump
Environmental Duty magnetic drive gear pump, available in cast iron, steel and acid-proof steel, for applications with high environmental, safety and low total cost requirements. Magnetically coupled pumps for ultimate protection against leakage. ED pumps are a very economical solution compared to traditional sealed pumps, especially where the application requires the use of double mechanical shaft seals. Often these applications are very different, resulting in seals and support systems requiring regular attention and/or replacement. Gear pumps are robust volumetric pumps that use rotating gears to create a smooth and pressurized flow. They are suitable for both thin and viscous liquids without particles.
There are two variants:
- External gear pump - two gears spin against each other in a closed housing.
- Internal gear pump - one gear rotates inside a larger one.
Thanks to their self-priming function, they are easy to start and use, even in empty systems.
