A-LOK® Couplings
Parker A-LOK® are pipe couplings with dual clamping rings designed to provide reliable and leak-tight connections in instrumentation, process, and control systems. They are engineered for demanding applications involving high pressure, vacuum, or vibration.
The front clamping ring provides the seal, while the Suparcase®-treated rear clamping ring ensures a strong mechanical grip. The couplings are delivered fully assembled, and the pipe does not rotate during installation, which simplifies installation and reassembly.

Parker front clamping ring made of Alloy 400 for a 3/16" Parker tube fitting. The clamping ring is one of the most critical components in a clamping ring coupling and requires a carefully engineered design, the right metallurgical properties, and high precision in manufacturing to function properly. During installation, the clamping ring must be deformed in a precise and controlled manner—both elastically and plastically—to grip the tube securely and create a tight connection. The front gripping edge of the clamping ring must be harder than the pipe in order to grip and seal even over minor scratches and surface defects. However, if the entire clamping ring is too hard, it cannot deform correctly. Therefore, only the clamping ring’s gripping edge is hardened, while the remaining parts have other, carefully controlled mechanical properties. The hardening process must also preserve the material’s corrosion resistance. Furthermore, the manufacturing process ensures that the clamping rings are free of defects, meet tight tolerances, and satisfy specified metallurgical requirements.Parker Hannifin -

A-LOK® couplings are manufactured as standard in traceable 316 stainless steel and are also available in several other materials, including brass, steel, titanium, 6Mo, and corrosion-resistant nickel alloys.
The product line includes, for example, straight couplings, elbows, T-fittings, bulkhead fittings, adapters, and reducers. The correct coupling and pipe should be selected based on the medium, pressure, temperature, and the environment in which the system will be used.
