nanoEx is designed for applications where installation space is severely limited but where no compromises must be made in terms of safety or performance. The luminaire is the world's smallest [Ex] lighting fixture and combines very compact design with high functionality.

External [Ex] timers are used partly in conjunction with [Ex] luminaires that do not have an internal timer function. This is especially true for [Ex] luminaires with stainless steel housing, where magnetic transmission from an externally located button is not possible. On the other hand, external [Ex] timers are used when the timer function has to be activated from another location, for example from a control panel, instead of directly on the luminaire.

As luminaires are intended for use over several decades, long-term availability of spare parts is of particular importance. LED modules are therefore manufactured to 100 % in Switzerland or Germany, to the same specifications used in medical technology. These specifications require spare parts to be available for at least ten years. For [Ex] luminaires it is particularly important that only original spare parts are used, in accordance with the [Ex] test certificate. The use of non-original spare parts invalidates the test certificate and can lead to safety risks.

A complete range of accessories is available for luminaires. The accessories meet the highest quality requirements in accordance with the quality commitment ”Swiss Excellence - Since 1936”. Accessories are defined as components that can be added to a product at a later stage. They do not affect the design or the parts list of the product. Parts included in the parts list of the originally delivered product are defined as spare parts. Accessories for luminaires allow the scope of use of the products to be extended.
