From ambition to action: How to build a more resource-efficient operation
In practice, sustainability in industrial companies is about addressing real challenges: such as long distances, energy use and travel. Our customers are located all over the country, which means long distances and is also where some of our climate impact occurs.
How we manage that impact is crucial. For us at Colly Flowtech, it's about moving from ambition to action and making sustainability a natural part of every decision we make.
Focus where we make the biggest difference
As a reseller of advanced technologies, our strength is the relationship with our customers. Many of the solutions we deliver are complex and often require face-to-face meetings to truly understand customer needs.
This means that our biggest environmental impact comes from our own operations and, in particular, our salespeople's travel.
That's why we've been working on two areas where we can make the biggest difference:
- energy use in offices and warehouses
- travel related to customer visits
Energy-smart operation: 86% renewable electricity
Reducing energy use is not a one-off action, but an ongoing process where we continuously analyze, adjust and improve how we use energy.
We therefore work continuously to:
- analyze our electricity contracts
- monitor actual energy consumption
- adjust and improve our premises where it makes the most sense
For our customers, this means working with a partner who is in control of their processes and actively working to reduce their environmental impact.
Which in turn has produced clear results:
- In 2025, we increased the share of renewable electricity in our premises from 47 % to 86 %.
- Our sites in Lund, Stockholm, Jönköping, Örebro and Kolbäck now run entirely on 100 % renewable energy, a standard we are working to achieve at all sites.

Fossil-free miles: We cut emissions from our customer visits by half
Having our salespeople on the ground with our customers is an important part of how we create value together. At the same time, travel accounts for a large part of our climate impact.
That's why we have switched our fleet from fossil fuels to electric vehicles, a decision that directly reduces our emissions linked to customer visits.
The results are already clear:
- Halved emissions: In just 12 months, we have reduced our vehicle-related emissions by almost 50 %.
- 347,000 fossil-free kilometers: Over the past year, our salespeople have driven over 34 million meters on electricity.
But the transition is about more than just reducing emissions. It also affects how we work. When we plan our trips more carefully, we become more prepared, more efficient and can create even more value in every encounter with our customers.
Sustainability as a business benefit
For us, climate change is closely linked to long-term stability. By reducing our dependence on fossil resources and optimizing our energy use, we increase the sustainability of our business.
This makes us a reliable partner, with a high level of awareness and an organization that is ready for future requirements and regulations.
An important part of this work is also how we work with our suppliers and ensure quality and reliability of supply throughout the value chain. Read more about how we work with supplier assessment.
We do not see this as a project with an end date, but as a continuous evolution of how we continue to create business value with the least possible use of resources.
