PressureMAT® - Sensor monitors
PressureMAT® is a monitor, alarm and transmitter unit designed for use with PendoTECH Single-use sensors.
PressureMAT is a lightweight and portable unit that can be easily moved around a laboratory or pilot plant to the location where pressure measurement is required. The monitors use state-of-the-art fixed-state electronics that require no calibration or maintenance. Output options simplify integration with computers or higher-level control systems, and a relay switch allows connection to pumps and valves.
Options include models with up to four pressure sensor inputs. Models PMAT3 and PMAT4 can optionally display Delta pressure between P1 and P2 or transmembrane pressure (TMP) for filtration processes. These calculated values can also have alarm thresholds and the values can be transmitted.
- Monitor - the process pressure is displayed on the LCD screen with a range from -7 to 75 psi. The pressure can also be displayed in bar. Models PMAT3 and PMAT4 can optionally display Delta pressure between P1 and P2 or transmembrane pressure (TMP). These calculated values can also have alarm thresholds and can be transmitted. The PMAT-S Single Channel unit is also available as a high-resolution (HR) model for low pressure applications that achieves 10 times higher accuracy than the standard unit.
- Alarm - minimum and maximum pressure levels are set on the keypad, and if the process pressure goes below that minimum setting or above the maximum setting, the system enters an alarm condition. The alarm condition can be linked to the relay output to help protect the integrity of a process.
- Transmitter - the transmitter function provides a 4-20 milliamp output signal corresponding to the pressure measurement on the display. This system is useful for input to a process control system. There is also an RS232 data output to a PC and custom data acquisition software that can collect all data from the unit, as well as data from a scale. There is optional internal data logging.
- The system can be used in many biopharma production applications to monitor pressure, such as filtration, chromatography and bioreactor pressure monitoring and control.
