VESTA® HWA & HXA Valve Blocks
VESTA® valve blocks are compact and flexible sterile valves with two independent actuators. The one-piece housing design allows product flows to be combined, separated, or switched even in confined spaces.
The VESTA® valve block enables optimized piping while minimizing dead space. The significantly reduced pipe volume and improved drainage capacity are additional distinguishing features. Unlike solutions with individual valves, VESTA® valve blocks reduce the need for fittings and thus also contribute to cost-effective installation solutions.
Valve housing
VESTA® valve blocks are available as standard with three (Type HWA) or four (Type HXA) connection ports. For Type HXA, the intermediate chamber is designed for fluid transfer. The housing consists of three sections and is manufactured from a single solid piece. Additional housing configurations are available upon request.
Internal unit
The PTFE bellows are identical to those used for VESTA® shut-off valves. Bellows up to DN25, OD 1”, and ISO 33.7 have a conical tip. All other valve sizes have a standard flat seating surface.
Actuator
Both actuators can be pneumatic or manual. The manual version is always made of plastic. Pneumatic actuators are available in plastic or stainless steel, and the safety mode (normally closed or normally open) can be easily changed. Various combinations of the two actuators are possible.
Control and Feedback Systems
Pneumatic actuators come standard with a visual indicator for the valve position. Alternatively, the visual indicators can be replaced with an open feedback unit or with a T.VIS® control and feedback system in various configurations, mounted using a suitable adapter plate.

VESTA® Valve Series

VESTA® sterile valves are a great asset for applications ranging from laboratories to highly complex processing facilities, particularly in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetics industries, but can also be used in the food industry.
Thanks to the hermetic seal of the valve stem with a PTFE bellows, VESTA® sterile valves provide maximum isolation of the process line, thereby contributing to increased product and process safety.
The VESTA® valve series has been specially developed to meet the highest standards for sterile processes in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetics industries. The valve range offers everything needed to meet the specific needs of these industries. The high-quality valve range includes various valve types, and thanks to its modular design, the valves can also be customized for specific process conditions while meeting all regulatory requirements.
VESTA® valves can be seamlessly integrated into an automated process plant using the T.VIS® control system.

The key component of VESTA® sterile valves is a one-piece PTFE bellows made from TFM 1705. In addition to its excellent chemical resistance to nearly all media, TFM 1705 also complies with all relevant standards for the pharmaceutical industry, such as FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 and USP Class VI. The high surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm), the seamless and hermetic seal, and the CIP/SIP-optimized design are further distinguishing features.
The patented bellows sealing system reliably isolates the product-contacting area from the atmosphere during all process steps and also seals the valve seat.
- Optimized flow and design without dead spaces
- Optimized CIP/SIP Cleanability
- Hermetic sealing of product-contacting areas with PTFE bellows
- Defined preload of the seal using a metal stop
- Valve in accordance with EHEDG design guidelines
- Self-locking rail nut connection
- Safe and Easy Maintenance
