Aseptomag® AXV Double-Chamber Valves

House
The housings for the AXV double-chamber valves are available with two, three, or four connection ports. The valves are manufactured with butt-weld connections as standard. Mixed connection port sizes and various aseptic pipe connections are available upon request.

Indoor Units
The AXV double-chamber valve has two internal assemblies, each with two valve seats. The larger seats (seat B) in the internal units contain a crimped valve seat seal made of Tefasep®. The smaller valve seats (seat A) are available with crimped or screwed valve seat seals. In addition to the standard Tefasep® seal, other material options are available, such as PTFE. The valve’s nominal diameter is determined by the larger valve seats (valve seat B).

Actuator
The AXV double-chamber valve contains two identical actuators. The standard version of the pneumatic actuators is designed as spring-closed/air-open (NC) and includes individual seat lifting for both valve seats (seats A+B) as well as a full valve lift (a total of 3 valve strokes).

Clamp
Thanks to its robust design, the GEA clamp ensures a pressure-stable and secure connection between the main components. Its special three-segment design allows for easy maintenance of the component, even in tight spaces.

Valves on the side
Each of the three sterile chambers comes standard with a steam inlet valve and an outlet valve. The safety mode (NC or NO) for the two side valves can be selected independently of one another. The outlet can be equipped with an integrated temperature sensor that enables temperature measurement inside the sterile chamber. The outlet valve can also be configured with a diverter valve to directly supply a sterile medium to the valve’s drain side as well.

Feedback Units
Aseptic dual-chamber valves of the AXV type can be equipped with either open feedback units or the T.VIS® feedback system as standard. Feedback units from third-party suppliers can be installed using special adapters.

Aseptomag® Valve Technology

Aseptomag® aseptic valves are designed to meet the highest standards for aseptic processes in the dairy, food, and beverage industries.

Aseptic bellows valves are distinguished by their uncompromisingly hermetic seal around the valve stem, which minimizes the risk of contamination and maximizes the ability to detect leaks. The Aseptomag® valve series is the counterpart to the VARIVENT® hygienic valve series for aseptic processes and includes everything from shut-off and bottom valves to mixproof and sampling valves. The valves meet the highest required hygiene standards, such as the EHEDG and 3-A standards. Thanks to its modular design, the Aseptomag® valve series also enables customized valve solutions for specific process requirements (higher shut-off pressure, special materials, special designs, etc.). Aseptomag® valves can be equipped with T.VIS® control heads and can thus be seamlessly integrated into an automated process plant.

For aseptic processes, the following areas must be taken into account: product sterilization, transport and maintenance of sterility, and filling under sterile conditions. Aseptic processes ensure high-quality products and/or a long shelf life, produced for specific consumer groups. In addition to traditional UHT dairy products, this hygiene class also includes medical nutrition, baby food, aseptically produced beverages, and applications in biotechnology.
