VESTA® H_A/I Sampling Valves

VESTA® sampling valves are used for sampling from product pipelines or tanks in aseptic processing facilities.

VESTA® sampling valves stand out for their modular construction and their dead-space-free, compact design. In addition, their optimized flow design provides an ideal foundation for efficient CIP/SIP processes.

Product Overview
Main Components

Valve housing
VESTA® sampling valves are available either with a housing connection flange or with a VARINLINE® housing. On the outlet side, there are body variants with one (L-type) or two connections (T-type). The connections on the outlet side are available in three different pipe classes and two different nominal diameters each.

The housing connection flange is used for recessed, dead-space-free installation of a VESTA® sampling valve in a tank wall or dome bottom. The process connection via a VARINLINE® housing can be made with various nominal flange sizes, where the housing for the process line is always designed as a through-type housing.

Internal unit
The PTFE bellows for VESTA® sampling valves differ from others in that they feature an extended cylindrical section in the seat area. In addition, they always have a flat end facing the product pipeline.

Actuator
The actuator can be pneumatic or manual. The manual version is always made of plastic. Pneumatic actuators are available in plastic or stainless steel, and the fail-safe (normally closed or normally open) position can be easily changed.

Control and Feedback Systems
Pneumatic actuators come standard with a visual indicator for the valve position. Alternatively, the visual indicators can be replaced with an open feedback unit or with a T.VIS® control and feedback system in various configurations, mounted using a suitable adapter plate.

VESTA® Sterile Valves

VESTA® H_A Shut-off Valve – Valve Distribution Connection Through a Bulkhead

VESTA® sterile valves are a great asset for applications ranging from laboratories to highly complex processing facilities, particularly in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetics industries, but can also be used in the food industry.

Thanks to the hermetic seal of the valve stem with a PTFE bellows, VESTA® sterile valves provide maximum isolation of the process line, thereby contributing to increased product and process safety.

The VESTA® valve series has been specially developed to meet the highest standards for sterile processes in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and cosmetics industries. The valve range offers everything needed to meet the specific needs of these industries. The high-quality valve range includes various valve types, and thanks to its modular design, the valves can also be customized for specific process conditions while meeting all regulatory requirements.

VESTA® valves can be seamlessly integrated into an automated process plant using the T.VIS® control system.

PTFE bellows as a key component
VESTA® - PTFE bellows
VESTA® – PTFE Bellows

The key component of VESTA® sterile valves is a one-piece PTFE bellows made from TFM 1705. In addition to its excellent chemical resistance to nearly all media, TFM 1705 also complies with all relevant standards for the pharmaceutical industry, such as FDA 21 CFR 177.1550 and USP Class VI. The high surface finish (Ra ≤ 0.8 μm), the seamless and hermetic seal, and the CIP/SIP-optimized design are further distinguishing features. The patented bellows sealing system safely isolates the product-contacting area from the atmosphere during all process steps and also seals the valve seat.
