Microproportional valve
Spider μProp is a series of microproportional valves based on Spider technology and designed for precise control of flow or pressure in gases and liquids. The valves can be controlled using DC or PWM and can be used in both open-loop and closed-loop control systems.
The compact cartridge design makes the valves easy to integrate into various systems. Spider μProp is suitable for precision metering in critical applications where high accuracy, long service life, and stable control are key requirements. The series is used in applications such as respiratory systems, fuel cell systems, and electronic flow controllers.
The valves have a flat anchor that moves between the valve seat and the solenoid. The arm is mounted together with a flat spring that presses the integrated sealing element against the valve seat when the valve is de-energized. This design enables friction-free movement, high life-cycle performance, and consistent regulation throughout the product’s entire service life.
Spider μProp valves are true proportional valves in which the armature stroke—and thus the flow—can be varied by the applied coil current.
When combined with a flow or pressure sensor and a PID control loop, the Spider μProp can be used for continuous control of gases or liquids.
Accuracy and Repeatability
The patented design ensures smooth operation and stable movement of the anchor. This allows the valves to regulate flow continuously with very high repeatability throughout their service life.
Security and safety
Each valve is automatically adjusted, calibrated, and tested during the production process. This ensures a high level of operational reliability and makes the valves suitable even for highly critical applications, such as infant incubators.

Its low power consumption and compact design make the Spider μProp well-suited for portable devices and applications where space and energy efficiency are key factors.
