Tygon S3™ B-44-5X IB
Tygon® S3™ B-44-5X IB from Saint-Gobain is a transparent, flexible, and reinforced hose for dispensing food and beverages. The hose has a smooth, non-porous inner surface that prevents particle buildup and reduces the risk of bacterial growth. It offers excellent resistance to strongly alkaline cleaning agents and is not affected by commonly used disinfectants.
The integrated reinforcement layer allows the hose to withstand up to four times higher pressure than comparable unreinforced hoses. All layers in the Tygon® S3™ B-44-5X IB meet FDA requirements for food contact.
The hose has excellent non-wetting properties, which facilitate complete drainage and effective cleaning. It is essentially tasteless and odorless and is well suited for food, beverage, and dairy applications, as well as other bacteria-sensitive processes.
Tygon® S3™ B-44-5X IB is lightweight, flexible, and easy to install. It can be bent around corners and obstacles, reducing the need for couplings and fittings. In some installations, the hose length can be reduced by up to 30 % compared to rigid stainless steel, glass, or pipe conduits.
