CGI-S/CDI-QS series (SCORPIO) - Chemical norm centrifugal pump ISO 2858/5199
The CGI-S is a horizontal centrifugal pump series, designed in accordance with ISO 2858/5199 standards and developed to meet demanding industrial applications. The pumps are very robust, with heavily oversized components that ensure maximum reliability and long service life.

- CGI series is suitable for the transportation of acidic and alkaline solutions such as sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄), hydrochloric acid (HCl), sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), nitric acid (HNO₃), caustic soda (NaOH), phosphoric acid (H₃PO₄), ferric chloride (FeCl₃) and other similar aggressive chemicals.
The pumps are equipped with high quality standardized mechanical seals in different configurations, including internal, external and double flushed seals, adapted to the process requirements.
All wetted parts are made of solid blocks in PP, PVDF or PE-UHMW. O-rings (gaskets) are available in EPDM, FPM or FFKM, providing very good chemical resistance.
The pump casing is made of extra thick PP, PVDF or PE-UHMW and is produced by precision machining.
The impeller is made of PP, PVDF or PE-UHMW, available in semi-open design for liquids with particles and closed design for high temperature applications. Axial self-balancing through rear counter vanes on the impeller and a protected central metal insert provide increased mechanical strength.
The shaft sleeve, made of PP, PVDF or PE-UHMW, completely covers the part of the steel shaft in contact with the process liquid. It is manufactured as a complete component and rotates together with the impeller, but is mechanically independent of the shaft.
The balanced shaft is made of oversized 42CrMo4 carbon steel (special alloys can be offered on request), which provides very good resistance to torsional and radial loads. The shaft is precision machined from solid material and is fully protected by the shaft sleeve.
