TCD series - Chemical norm centrifugal pumps for high temperatures ISO 2858
The TCD series is a centrifugal pump designed for thermal oil and high temperatures. The series is also available in a TCD/SP version for vegetable oils, featuring a customized sealing solution that reduces the risk of oxidation and contamination.
The TCD pump series is specially designed to handle thermal fluids up to 320˚C without special cooling systems. In the active cooling version “XT” it is possible to pump diathermic fluids up to a temperature of 365 °C.
A special thermal barrier chamber, placed between the pump casing and the impeller, blocks the heat from the pumped product. The designers have designed the bearing with cooling fins to effectively dissipate the heat from the pump casing. This design allows the safe use of a standard, simple mechanical seal.
The pump shaft is supported by oversized, oil-lubricated C3-series ball bearings.
The pump casing and impeller are the same as the other pumps in the two smallest models of the TCH series.
Pump dimensions and characteristics are in accordance with ISO 2858/DIN 24256 and are the same as for the corresponding TCH series models.
The design differs from the standard version of the TCD series in terms of the mechanical seal.
An additional chamber has been added behind the mechanical seal. This chamber is connected to a reservoir containing oil that is compatible with the pumped fluid. The device prevents air from entering the pump in the event of a seal failure and oxidizing the oil. It also reduces the risk of oil from the bearing housing entering the pump housing, or of process fluid entering the bearing housing.
- Flow rates up to 350 m³/h and pressures up to 10 bar.
- Temperature range: -40 to +260 °C, depending on pressure and material selection.
- Materials: Wetted parts are available in various combinations, Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, AISI 316/ ASTM - CF8M, ASTM-CN7M, Incoloy 825, Hastelloy C. (Special materials on request).
- Mechanical shaft seals, internally assembled in a range of material combinations according to (ISO 3069 / UNI EN 12756).
- The connections are flanged with the UNI2223-2229 PN16 standard.
- A range of options are available: ATEX version etc.
