The right hose for the right application: When small crucial details make all the difference
In critical applications, every component must meet high standards of cleanliness, traceability, durability and documentation - especially in the life sciences industry. So when an innovative life science company developed a new chromatography machine, the need for a very specific tubing solution arose. For the machine to function optimally, a hose was needed that could withstand extreme pressure, chemical resistance and cleanliness requirements. One TPE hose became the solution.
Working closely with CPC Colder, Colly Flowtech was able to find a solution that not only matched the technical requirements of the machine, but also made installation smoother and future orders easier to manage. The result? Increased operational reliability, minimized risk of misconnections - and a more cost-effective and time-saving solution.
The challenge: A new machine with specific requirements
The customer knew what they wanted to achieve, but not exactly how. They needed a hose that:
- Resistant to chemical attack
- Withstands high pressure and the right temperature
- Meets USP Class VI purity requirements
- Can be color-coded for easier handling in production
This is where Colly Flowtech, in close collaboration with CPC, came in.
The solution: A customized TPE hose for reliable and efficient production
Through our technical expertise, and thanks to close cooperation with both supplier and customer, we were able to identify the optimal solution: a specially made TPE hose and quick connector
What made the hose unique was the possibility to color code it in different colors, which simplified identification and handling in production. The hose also met both the right chemical resistance and pressure requirements. This was a decisive factor in ensuring operational reliability, preventing hose breakage and reducing the risk of leakage.
