LEVIFLOW® LFSC-D - Clamp-On flow meter
LEVIFLOW® clamp-on flowmeters enable non-invasive and highly accurate measurement of flows in flexible hoses, especially adapted for high purity liquids.
The measurement principle is based on two piezoelectric sensors located in the housing that both transmit and receive ultrasonic waves. A wave traveling in the direction of flow is accelerated, while the one traveling against the flow is delayed. This difference in transit time is recorded by a signal converter and converted into an accurate determination of the fluid's velocity.
- High purity fluid processing
- Sterile non-invasive flow measurement in pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Biotechnology processes
- Flow control in combination with Levitronix® MagLev pump system
- Single use dispensable applications
The standard configuration of the LEVIFLOW® clamp-on flowmeter consists of a flow sensor and a transducer with a digital signal processor (DSP) for processing the sensor signals. Different signals (analog output, digital input and digital output) are provided and can be configured with a PC software. An RS485 bus allows the connection of several flowmeters. In addition, the sensor value is shown on a 4-digit display. For troubleshooting, data collection and configuration with a PC, LEVIFLOW® Configuration Software is available from Levitronix® along with a USB to RS485 adapter.
